FGCDL FC signs former College D2 player, Alejandra Muro

Cape Coral, April 5- Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC is happy to announce that Alejandra Muro will be playing for our Women's Team coming summer. She played D2 during her college career. We had an interview with her to get to know her better.

FGCDL FC: Who are you, where are you from and how old are you? 

I am Alejandra Muro. I am from Peru and I am 23 years old.

FGCDL FC: What was your high school and your college?

I went to Mariner High School back in 2013.  After that I got an scholarship to play college ball at Saint Leo University.

FGCDL FC: What kind of honors did you receive in your player career?   

Midfielder Soccer Player Saint Leo University 2013-2017 *In 2014 *Recognized with a community award at Saint Leo women's soccer team.

*Sunshine State Conference Tournament Semifinalist.

*NSCAA Sweet 16 participant. *NSCAA Regional ranking of #3.

FGCDL FC: Best moment in soccer?  

When my soccer team was tied 1-1 and I made a goal last minute to break the tie. That feeling was unbelievable, because at the end of the day I want to help my team.

FGCDL FC: Why did you choose to play for us?

I chose to play for Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC, because I simply like competition and being part of this team, I am able to grow as a player.

FGCDL FC: What are your expectations for the upcoming season?

As a team I would love to win the whole league. Make the Woman's team known for its style of play and quality.
