Cape Coral, March 22- Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions is delighted that we can announce that Zoey Spitzer, ASUN All-Freshman Team 2017, will be playing for our Women's Team. We had an interview with her.
FGCDL FC: Who are you, where are you from and how old are you?
Zoey Spitzer from Naples, Florida and I am 19 years old.
FGCDL FC: What was your high school?
I went to school at Gulf Coast High School and played there 4 years of soccer.
FGCDL FC: What is your college?
I am a freshman at Florida Gulf Coast University. I play Division 1 college ball .
FGCDL FC: What kind of honors did you receive in your player career?
Started all 19 matches as a freshman, earning a spot on the ASUN All-Freshman Team. Also got ASUN Conference's Defensive Player of the Week. Earned All-State accolades in each of her final 3 seasons at Gulf Coast High School. Named Naples Daily News Prep of the Week 4 times.

Best soccer moment is winning in double overtime against Lipscomb university to win the ASUN Championship
FGCDL FC: Why did you choose to play for us?
I chose to play for the Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions, because I need a place locally to play in the summer and I think this is the best place in the summer to improve my skills. I heard great stories about the coaching and organization and this will help me towards my sophomore year of college.
FGCDL FC: Expectations for the upcoming season?
I expect to have fun playing soccer while also getting better. Besides that I look forward to meet the Orange Family during the summer, because the pictures from last year made me really excited.

She is one of the only players in Division 1 College ball who started all her games as freshman. She has speed, game vision and a great pass. I look forward to work with her."
