SFA World Star Clinics

The SFA Dutch Lions World Star Clinics is a partnership between DDL and it's Head Sponsor ScoutForAll. The objective is to bring (former) world stars to the area so kids can learn from them. Either through bringing individual players or a whole team, like we did with our opening game in 2010 against Global United FC. With players such as Paulo Rink, Marco Etcheverry, Thomas Dooley, Tony Sanneh, Sunday Oliseh, Marcelo Balboa, Fredi Bobic and Paul Bosveld.

Individual player(s)

Every clinic will start with a brief presentation on the career of the player(s) with tips on how he became a world star player. The majority of the clinic will be on the field with several drills being practiced linked to the specific quality of the player(s), such as defending, passing, dribbling, shooting etc. Of course after each session there is room for autographs and pictures.

The Clinic

Bryan Roy after scoring a goal in the World Cup in 1994 in the USA

The Dutch Lions FC and it’s head sponsor ScoutForAll will be bringing Holland’s best players ever to the USA to provide kids with an opportunity to learn from the best. Roy’s clinic will focus on (dribbling) skills and moves, as he was taught himself and teaches now to players in the Ajax Academy. The clinic will consist of an introduction of Roy and him showing various dribbling techniques and moves that all players will train on in the clinic. Of course the clinic will end with the opportunity to get an autograph or have your picture taken with Roy.
