The Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC women's team were not able to pick up any points this week against a quality Team Boca Blast team, losing 5-1 and 7-1 away and at home on Wednesday and Saturday.
Claire Valentine and Alexandria Spiller both scored the only goal for the Lions.
Peyton Beem commented on the losses this week: "Despite the outcome of the recent two games we have been connecting a lot better offensively and as a team. We have a great group of girls with some really good talent, but we sometimes struggle communicating and make simple mistakes. I am really hoping for us to get the outcome we not only have been working for but deserve in the final games! I always believe in never giving up and always picking one another up no matter what."
The Lions are back in action this Friday when they play the second derby game vs CCSA at Paradise Sports Complex in Naples at 7pm.
