Rachel Osborne scores her first goal in WPSL
The Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC women's team (0-0-4) lost 5-1 this weekend vs FC Surge. The Lions had some momentum going into the match after a good game last week (despite the 1-0 loss) but FC Surge started strong and scored 3 goals in the first 10 muntes of the game. The Lions started playing better and this resulted in a goal by Rachel Osborne, her first in WPS, making the score 3-1 at halftime.
The start of the 2nd half was a repetition of the start of the first half. FC Surge came out strong and scored 2 goals in the first 10 minutes making the score 5-1. After a weather delay due to lightning, the Lions tried to come back into the game but could not score anymore.
The team is back in action this weekend with back to back games on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday the team plays at home at 7pm vs Team Boca Blast. On Sunday the team travels to Miami to play Miami United FC, wholesaled also have a game on Saturday.
