October 16, Cape Coral- On October 13 Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC organized a Bring a Practice day for their Youth Academy. An amazing Saturday followed.
The younger groups (U7 till U12) started at 9 am with their practice and in every single team multiple new kids showed up. Those kids showed what they learned somewhere else, but some other kids played this amazing sport for the first time.
The older groups (U13-U19) started their practice at 10.30 am and worked hard in the heat. Also in these groups, new players showed up and had lots of fun.
The coaches spoke with all the new players and parents and explained how we as FGCDL FC practice. We always practice in a safe and competitive environment where positive coaching is key. Next to the development that the coaches provide, winning is important too.
The coming days the best players of Bring a Friend day will come back and get another shot to make the teams.
