FGCDL FC: Can you tell a little bit more about yourself?
My name is Kelly Fitzgerald Junco and I'm a lifelong soccer player, CrossFit athlete, writer, certified Recovery Coach, and Cape Coral resident. I am the author of a popular blog called the Adventures of a Sober Señorita and I am currently writing my first book.
FGCDL FC: What made you stay with the club after your 3 months with the Women's Team?
I had fun doing the social media and marketing for the Women's Team this summer. It brought back a lot of memories of when I played competitively in college. I enjoyed watching the games and being a part of the organization. I decided to stay because I respect the values and goals of the Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions. Soccer has changed my own life in many ways and I'd love to help other kids experience the same.
FGCDL FC: What can we expect from you?
I'll be doing the marketing and social media for the Youth Academy this 2018/2019 season and organizing the Orange Family events.
FGCDL FC: How can businesses or individuals reach you for information or inquires with the club?
Anyone interested in learning more about the club can contact me at k.junco@fgcdlfc.com.
Director of Soccer Operations Vincent de Weger is delighted with Kelly: "She added something to the day-to-day office that we were missing. Marketing is important in our company to spread the word of our activities and philosophy. With her background in marketing but soccer as well, Kelly is the perfect fit for the job. I can't wait to see what Kelly is going to do online and offline for our club.
