Cape Coral, March 14th- Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions, announces Season 2018-2019 try-out dates on 30th of April, 1st of May, 3rd of May and 9th of May. It will be held at Jim Jeffers Park in Cape Coral.
Our FGCDL FC Youth Academy is having a successful Spring Season with a lot of finals in high-level tournaments. The Academy grew to more than 135 kids with a staff of more than 10 coaches. Our U8 grew from 20 players to a total of 35 players and our U14G and U14B have more then 20 players in each team.
If you join our Youth Academy, your child will have a lot of ball touches during our practices. We will set up several stations like dribbling, passing, shooting and 1v1 games. At the end of practice, we finish with a scrimmage.
FGCDL FC organizes their Fall Season Youth Academy at the following dates:
- Monday, April 30 at 5.45-9 pm
- Tuesday, May 1 at 5.45-9 pm
- Thursday, May 3 at 5.45-9 pm
- Wednesday, May 9 at 5.45-9 pm.
The U6-U12 will have their try-outs will be from 5.45-7 pm. The U13-U19 will have their try-outs from 7.15-8.45 pm. Both times are for boys and girls.
During try-out players can expect to be evaluated mainly on their technical skills. Several stations will be set up for dribbling, passing, and small sided games. Parents can expect to receive more information about the club and it’s philosophy. We will also provide the 2018-2019 FGCDL FC Academy Handbook.
