Cape Coral, February 15th- FGCDL FC is very pleased to announce that D2 College player and Women's Team players of 2017 Kianna Magner re-signed for our Women's team. Kianna started in 9 of the 9 games last year and had 2 assists. We had an interview with Kianna.
FGCDL FC: Who is Kianna?
My name is Kianna Magner, I am 19 years old, and I was born in Fort Myers, Florida.
FGCDL FC: Where did you play high school and where do you play college?
I went to Evangelical Christian School and played club for Florida Fire. Now I am a sophomore at Palm Beach Atlantic University (Division 2).
FGCDL FC: What are the awards that you won during your career?
At ECS, I received Most Valuable Newcomer, Most Valuable Defender, Most Valuable Midfielder, Most Assists, All-Area Honorable Mention, and All-Area Second Team.
FGCDL FC: What do you think about Women's Team season 2017?
I think the 2017 season was a great experience that gave me the opportunity to play with some really good players from our area. Besides that the coaching and the organization was good. The no-drama were Casey talked about, was true and that made everything much better.
FGCDL FC: Why do you return?
I am returning this summer because the competition we played against was great, and I loved the girls that I got to play with last season. I am hoping that we can get even more depth on this team for the upcoming season. But Coach Vincent, me and other girls are working hard on that.
FGCDL FC: What would you say to college girls that are interested in our Women's Team?
If you're interested in playing for this team, I would say to definitely go for it. The teams that we play against also have very good college players so the competition is great and really helps you to keep up with your skills and fitness. Plus, playing with and against highly competitive teams will only make you better.
