Cape Coral, February 27th - Last Saturday our Youth Academy had a 3v3 tournament at the fields of Ida Baker High School. We used the official 3v3 rules to get the players ready for our summer program: 3v3 tournaments with as goal, qualification for the Nationals in Orlando.
FGCDL FC U8 - Team Green, winners of the day
Our U8 players are always excited to play 3v3. At the end of the spring season, we will announce the Player of the Year, during our gala on May 13th. This week, team Green won both competitions, and that means the players of team Green earn 10 points for the ranking.
The leader of the ranking is still Michael with 30 points. Runner-up at the moment is Lauro with 25 points. Number 3 of the list is Milo with 24 points.
FGCDL FC U9 - Yellow team win the 3v3
During the group stage, the yellow team won all their games while the other 2 teams were battling for the second place. In the finals, the yellow team showed their class with fantastic position game and great goals. The other teams were playing good too.
FGCDL FC U10B & U11B - Orange is the winner after penalty shootout
During the group stage, all teams made a lot of goals. Team Blue scored 10 goals in 3 games. Team Orange won their semifinal after penalty kicks. In the final, they had to play against team Blue, and they won again after penalty kicks.
FGCDL FC U13B - Blue wins the final against Orange
The runner-up of the last tournament played in 3 teams against each other. Team Blue lost their group stage game against team Orange with 4-2. However, in the final Blue was too tough for team Orange and the score was 2-1.
FGCDL FC U13G - Easy final for Team Green
19 girls at the field meant we had a full house. The coaches asked the girls to keep the speed of the game on a high level. The passes were good, and everybody had a lot of fun while playing soccer. Team Green was the winner of the day. They showed in the final why they were the winner because they beat team orange with 6-0.
FGCDL FC U16B & U16G - Exciting final
Our U16B and U16G played together this Saturday. The coaches saw great passing, and they had an exciting final that team Orange won with 3-2.
