Cape Coral, December 15th- Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC announces Spring Season try-out on January 18th at Jim Jeffers Park.
The FGCDL FC Youth Academy had a successful fall season with further growth in the Youth Academy. The Academy grew to more than 130 kids. This means that there are now 3 U8 teams, 2 U9 teams and overall 2 more teams than FGCDL FC Youth Academy started with in August.
The club also went to multiple tournaments and played multiple games with the teams. The improvement and development of the players was visible.
To keep the growth going and to get better as a club, FGCDL FC organizes their Youth Academy Spring try-out Wednesday January 18th 2017. It starts at 6pm at Jim Jeffers Park.
During try-out players can expect to be evaluated mainly on their technical skills. Several stations will be set up for dribbling, passing, and small sided games. Parents can expect to receive more information about the club and it’s philosophy. We will also provide the 2016-2017 FGCDL FC Academy Handbook.
