Cape Coral, September 27, 2016 – Friday the 23rd of September the FGCDL FC and Fathoms Restaurant & Bar organized a great fundraising. A fantastic evening followed with various activities and a amazing atmosphere. More then 300 people showed their support for the FGCDL FC.
A corn hole tournament was organized, where Danilo Cortes and John Teeter ended up as winners, the kids slided of a great waterslide and a soccer juggling tournament. Brittany Trinkle won the juggling tournament with 277! At the end of the evening we gave away 15 prizes in our lottery. Congratulations to the people that won. Also there was a BBQ with great meals and Remedy provided the music, where different people danced on.
Not only was the fundraising a main event. There was also the official ribbon cutting of the FGCDL FC. With the ribbon cutting the Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC is a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral.
With more then $3000 raised, it was a succesfull evening for both organizations. April Johnston was excited about the evening: “What a great night and I am sure everyone had fun!"
With the money that was raised the Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC is buying new practice material and is financing tournaments for the teams.
