First home game for the FGCDL FC Men’s team

Cape Coral, May 14 2016 – The Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC Men’s team will play their 1st home game of the season against Kraze United SC at Island Coast High School on Sunday afternoon at 5pm.

General Manger Jouko Gorissen is looking forward to the inaugural home game of the Men's team: "after playing 5 games on the road we play our first home game tomorrow. The team is looking forward to finally show themselves to the local community including friends, families and of course the whole Dutch Lions FC youth academy. Kraze is a high-quality opponent, we saw that last week. But in "our house" it can be a whole different game. Every member of the club, from ownership, management, coaching staff and players, is highly motivated to show Cape Coral a good performance but especially a fun and exciting night out. We have a players tunnel before the game, free t-shirts, a half time skill training and a poster signing session after the game. We hope many people will show up to the game."

After the first victory this Wednesday against the IMG Academy (1-0), the team certainly goes into the game with confidence. Coach Ronald de Boer had this to say about the game:” We know our opponent. They are really strong and it’s going to be a hard game, but if I believe with the progress we made we can beat them at home. We have to give more than what we have to earn the victory, but with the support of our (orange) fans we can achieve this.”

The following players were selected by the coach: Jahdea Gildin, Klass Boersma, Olivier Benedict, John Teeter, Matthew de Sanctis, Danilo A. Cortes, André Blanco, Jouko Gorissen, Menno Vermeer, Wilfredo Alvarez, David Cano, Alvis Ortega, Christian Alcala, Oscar Camacho, Daniel Medina, Daniël Anderson, Davian “Bobo” Cranston, David Antunez.
