Coaches arrived in Cape Coral

The Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions is happy to announce that the staff of the club is complete. The staff has 4 people. Academy manager Klaas Boersma was happy to have all the coaches in Cape Coral: ‘’It’s good to have coaches who all have their UEFA-B license, which is not easy to get. It’s good for our club, we want to have a high level of coaching and this is the staff where we have that level for sure.’’

The newest coach is Coach Ronald de Boer. He was born in Emmeloord which is in the North of the Netherlands. He studied at the Physical Education Academy (CIOS) in Heerenveen and he received his UEFA-B coaching license there.


Ronald was coach of Heerenveense boys from 2012 – 2015, he coached in his first 2 seasons the U15 where he won the Dutch Cup and the league championship with. The last year he coached the U13 where he won the championship with as well. When he wasn’t coaching at Heerenveense boys he coached part-time the U11 of the professional soccer club called sc Cambuur Leeuwarden.

This makes the staff of the Dutch Lions complete for the US Club Soccer spring league.  The staff exist of Coach Klaas, Coach Menno, Coach Ronald and Coach Jouko.
