June 2, Cape Coral, Florida - This week the first teams of the Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC are taking shape. After the first three days of try-outs the first youth teams are formed and team meetings are being scheduled. The 2nd week of try-outs are being held again on June 22, 23 and 25. You can register here. Due to the weather there will be an additional try-out session Monday June 8 from 6-7.30pm at Jim Jeffers Park.
Also the U20 team had a first full week of training with Head Coach Anthony Martin. Out of approximately 45 players the final roster is made this week. Sunday they play their first game in the prestigious United Soccer Leagues Super 20 League vs Tampa Bay United. More news and a game preview including our players will be posted later this week.
