Today, at the Westin hotel in Cape Coral Florida, the Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC announced the start of the new soccer club in the South West Florida region. The local press attended in big numbers to hear Dutch Lions FC CEO Mike Mossel share the plans for the upcoming months as well as exciting development projects for the upcoming years.
The Dutch Lions FC came to South West Florida to build their 5th club in the USA, after Dayton, Cincinnati, Houston and New York. The club will offer the local soccer players starting at age 5 the opportunity to develop their skills.
The club will offer the following programs in 2015:
- Top level developmental soccer programs based on the world wide recognized Dutch development philosophy.
- Separate training based on the Wiel Coerver methodology for players between the ages of 5 and 18
- Camps and clinics
- Community Events
To get acquainted with the club, the programs and training methods the Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FGC is organizing a free clinic on May 16. Registration will open soon. Besides a presentation by the club's management participants will learn several soccer drills and play small sided games.
